However, it wasn’t always that easy to create and grow a small business. Standing out from competitors can be particularly hard in the eCommerce industry and convincing potential customers to convert can be even harder. After a year of selling via ChatGenie In-App Commerce, Domus Naturae PH shares its tips to grow into a booming online business.
When they decided to expand sales channels, it wasn’t always that simple. The first challenge that Domus Naturae encountered when selling via In-App Commerce was the question of how to make users shop through the ChatGenie store. Knowing how seamless transactions can be with the ChatGenie store, they wanted their users to take advantage of the technology presented to them.
The solution was to invest in paid advertisements directing customers directly to their In-App store. Like many top ChatGenie merchants, they utilized paid ads and strategic ad campaigns to educate their customers about shopping via In-App Commerce while also increasing their brand exposure. In order to optimize ad results, they experimented with multiple Ad Objectives to see which would earn the most gains.
In their experience, the most successful Ad Objective was Conversion Campaign > Purchase as the conversion event which will be tagged successful when a customer makes a purchase. Upon clicking the ad’s CTA button, customers will be redirected to Messenger with a Greeting Message and Shop Now button that leads to their In-App store. To further persuade shoppers in the greeting message, they advertised their free shipping.
However, a challenge faced by Domus Naturae initially was that some customers still placed their orders manually via Messenger. Knowing how simple the end-to-end process can be when selling with ChatGenie, they incentivized their sales reps with commissions to push the platform instead of manual ordering. To further promote ordering via In-App Commerce, they will start experimenting by letting sales reps send product links once they get to know more about what a customer wants to discourage manual ordering. Sending product links can be done since merchants can create unique product links with the ChatGenie Dashboard.
Since joining ChatGenie last November, they were able to get results including a 1400% sales increase last December 2022, followed by a 157% increase in the next month. The growth has earned them consistent sales of 5 digits a month up to the present, March 2023.
Taking it up a notch, the brand also uses Facebook’s machine learning and credits it for helping them grow its sales. It’s so good that after the learning phase of your ads campaign, your sales improve substantially.
