Future-Proofing your Business: Boost your Sales and Create Promos on the CG Dashboard

Here’s the latest part of the Future-Proofing Your Business! In this series, we’ll be sharing advice on how you can ensure your online business’s longevity. With more than 3,000 onboarded merchants and a team of business-focused professionals, rest assured that ChatGenie will be giving you sound business advice to elevate your online business.

In today’s article, we’ll discuss how to attract customers and increase your sales with promos on the ChatGenie Dashboard!

Now that you’ve already got your online store set up and running, it’s time to reinforce your Mini App with special discounts and promotions. While ChatGenie is a great way to offer accessibility to customers and streamline the entire ordering process, it’s also important to find a way to let your customers try it especially if they’ve never ordered from it before. Here are six sure-fire ways to promote your store, attract attention, and boost your sales with the ChatGenie Dashboard!

Offer discounts with coupons

Who doesn’t love a discount? Use the Coupon feature on your dashboard to offer customized promos for your business. To offer coupon codes, or discount codes, all you have to do is go to Cart Settings on the Dashboard and select Coupons.

You can choose all the details to set up your promo on your online store. Configure your coupon settings starting with the code itself. You can keep it simple like your brand name and the discount percentage you want to offer like CHATGENIE15 or even make it a themed and limited-time promo relating to the season like CHRISTMAS.

Then, you can select what discount you want to offer. Select your Value Type here. You can offer either a Percentage Discount or an Absolute Value promo. Pick the Percentage Discount and offer your selected percentage off the total amount spent or offer an Absolute Value Promo to deduct a certain amount off the total amount in their cart. You also have the option to set a Minimum Spend to qualify for these promos to encourage customers to spend more to get a better value. Create limited-time offers

You can also choose to let a limited amount of customers avail of the promo using the Usage Limit. Simply set how many customers are eligible to use the coupon here. You can announce the promo is only available for the first 100 customers or whatever you choose. You can even make the promo more special by offering big-ticket items for the first 5 customers who purchase a certain amount worth of products the way brick-and-mortar stores often do during special occasions like store openings or anniversaries!

Don’t forget to configure how long you’ll be offering the promo. You’ll need to set the Start Date and End Date, down to the exact time of day. You can also encourage customers to use a certain payment option to avail of your discounts. The Payment Option is set to All but you can also specify which options you want to upsell here.

Entice customers with freebies

You can also offer freebies with any purchase. To do that, go to Categories and Products on the Dashboard, click Products and then Add. You’ll then be redirected to the Create Product window for you to indicate what products you’ll be giving away to customers for free. Add a product image and fill in the freebie product’s name and description. In the Product Type drop-down menu, select Freebie to have the items pre-saved for later use.

After that, go to Cart Settings, click Promo, and then Add. The next step is to input the Required Amount that customers have to spend and tick the option for Freebies. The option for Add New Product Freebies right below these sections is where you select the items you uploaded earlier.

You also have the option to offer freebies to all transactions or just limit them to certain amounts spent.

Upsell with product promos

You can also put the spotlight on certain products by offering Product promos. For promotions regarding a specific product, just go to the Product Settings Page and find this section below. Offer discounts on items you want to highlight or unload here.

You can also offer Buy 1 Take 1 promos here by inputting 0 as the discount value and then adding a product freebie. Note that the free item for the buy 1 take 1 promo must already be saved beforehand. To have the item pre-saved, just revisit the Create Product window and add the same item you want to offer as a freebie.

Create promo campaigns with influencers

You can also get more exposure with influencer marketing. Expand your brand reach and increase brand recognition by working with a well-known name or KOL and give them exclusive discounts and promos with a referral code. Simply go to the Referral Manager section of your dashboard and create a shareable (and trackable!) code just for them. They can let users add their unique code when they check out to get the discount while you’re able to track the code's success: from clicks to even actual purchases!

Free shipping

Out of ideas? Free shipping is always a great way to push customers to finally buy what they’ve been eyeing. All you need to do is configure this in your Cart Settings. Just indicate the amount spent you require to avail of the promo and you’re good to go! Whether you do this all year round or just during special occasions, free shipping is one easy option to get your customers' attention.
