eCommerce 101: How to Sell Online

Easy Setup

Setting up a ChatGenie-powered store can be accomplished in under ten minutes. What’s more, the process can be done using a desktop computer/laptop or with a smartphone. The process is nearly identical and just as fast regardless of the device you use for setup.

The first thing you have to do is to go to the ChatGenie signup link. You have two options here but we recommend choosing Sign in With Facebook.

Once you connected your Facebook account, you’ll be redirected to the ChatGenie Dashboard. Click the Create Mini App button to get started.

Two service bundle options will be presented to you. Select the Shopify Bundle if you want to pattern your ChatGenie-powered store to an existing Shopify Store, otherwise select Ecommerce B2C Bundle.

If you chose the Ecommerce B2C Bundle, you’ll go through a series of steps for store customization. This includes editing your Shipping Method and Payment Options.

There are two shipping partners in our lineup that you can choose from: GrabExpress and Lalamove. Both shipment and delivery options reduce time spent on booking orders.

You also get the option of accepting payment from customers via online payment gateway PayMongo, and leading mobile wallets such as GCash and Maya. With these options, customers are able to pay for purchases directly from a ChatGenie-generated portal. This also guarantees that merchants receive payment before fulfilling orders.

Once you’re satisfied with the configurations, go back to the dashboard to set up other Mini App features for your shop. When you’re done, click the Launch button on the upper right corner of the ChatGenie dashboard.

Promos and coupons are easily activatable as well. You can choose to implement promos that are applicable to an entire cart or specific products, including discount codes, buy 1 take 1, and product freebies. You can even create trackable referral codes for influencers to share.
